Wholesale Nursery Sales Person

Domus Nursery, a wholesale production nursery, near Kalamunda, is seeking an experienced and motivated person to work within our sales team.  Our customers include garden centres, landscapers, local government and Bunnings throughout WA.  Applications close 10th April.  Aim for person to commence Mid-Late April.

Open to applicants wanting Full Time hours or part time hours of Mon-Thur 7.30-4pm.  If you have the interest and the skills we’re happy to discuss what can work.

Duties will include:

• Preparing quotes and tenders.
• Managing annual planner of stock allocated to key customers, monitoring stock condition, and arranging sale of stock when ready.
• Serving customers over the phone and emails
• Serving walk in customers
• Use of computer system for processing orders, checking stock, processing stock photos etc.
• Covering other key sales staff positions when they are away on holidays, this will include processing day to day orders, and preparing truck delivery schedules etc.
• Range of general sales related duties.

This Job will suit someone who:

• Has a good existing knowledge of plants.
• Approachable and professional personality.
• Enjoys office work with some time outdoors checking on plants.
• Enjoys working around plants
• Comfortable working in a small team
• Enjoys being active, not just stuck at a desk

Skills/Experience required:

• Previous experience working with plants is essential, especially  the understanding of plant names and ability to identify common plants.
• Very competent using MS Office suite of applications
• Competent touch typing
• Self motivated, able to work quickly and efficiently.
• Horticultural qualifications (or working towards) are highly desirable
• Must have own transport due to our location away from public transport.
