Landscape Gardener – All Rounder

With an increasingly  growing customer base, we are looking for a new Landscape Gardener / all-rounder  team member to join our Yards Family. We are seeking someone with a strong eye for detail and a  ‘can-do’ attitude.

We are a well-established, industry-leading landscaping design, construction and maintenance business working on residential and some commercial gardens across Brisbane and South East Queensland, since 2005.

Job Tasks & Responsibilities.

This Landscape Gardener position is a hands-on role, with general gardening duties and lawn care, including a mixture of both residential and commercial maintenance.

Job responsibilities including:

• Using a range of horticultural equipment including a blower, hedger, whipper snipper, push mower and Xero-turn ride on mowers;
• Basic irrigation knowledge; 
• Basic plant maintenance;
• Hedge experience would be advantageous,
• Weed, pest, and disease management;
• Planting and mulching;
• Operation and maintenance of tools and equipment

Skills and Experience.

We require our team to have a broad range of skills and encourage all experienced Landscape Gardeners, Grounds-Persons, Grounds Maintenance Officers, and Horticulturists to apply. A strong eye for detail and a ‘can do’ attitude is essential. 

Key qualifications and experience required:

• Minimum 1 years’ industry experience.
• All applicants must have a background in horticulture working in parks and gardens or turf industries. A qualification in these fields would be highly regarded. 
• Strong work ethic, including the ability to work independently, or as part of a team.
• Valid Australian Driver’s License.
• Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
• Current police clearance (or willing to obtain one).
• Great communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to adapt in a busy and dynamic environment.

This role can be for an entry-level position, with guidance and on-job learning provided.
