Mower and Tractor Operators & General Labourers

Position Overview:

We are seeking multiple skilled and committed full-time or casual operators to join GLG as we commence our contract with the City of Kingston. 

The successful candidates will be responsible for operating mowers, tractors, brushcutters, and blowers, upholding the highest standards across various high profile public sites, and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in line with specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mowing and edging of lawns across assigned sites
• Maintain and operate a variety of mowing equipment, including ride-on mowers, tractors, mowing attachments and lawn trimmers
• Ensure all equipment is regularly maintained and in safe working order
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Work collaboratively with other team members to meet project deadlines
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess the quality of work and report any issues to the supervisor
• Manage waste disposal and ensure all work areas are left clean and tidy

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in mowing and grounds maintenance
• Ability to operate and maintain mowing equipment safely and effectively
• Valid driver’s license 
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
• Current manual driver’s licence (MR advantageous)
• National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
• Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
• Legal right to work in Australia
