Area of Work: Whittlesea City Council

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our new Whittlesea Contract, providing a high standard of open space maintenance as part of our ongoing long-term contract.

As a valued team member, you will be based out of our Epping Depot and be responsible for daily mowing/detailing of reserves and roadsides. Utilizing our wide area mowers, out fronts and zero turns you will become a vital part of our team with your daily tasks including (but not limited to):

• Operate and maintaining ride-on and push-mowers.
• Planting, watering, mulching, chemical spraying, brush-cutting, hedging, weeding, blowing, pruning, litter pick up.
• Assess each site and identify and communicate key tasks for staff to action;
• Address any issues or under-produced work to be tendered to and actioned accordingly.
• Maintain adequate quality control to ensure no rework is required.
• Liaise with traffic and traffic management personnel.

To be successful, what you will need: 

• Current Victorian Drivers Licence (essential)
• Medium Rigid Truck Licence (essential)
• Construction Induction Card/White Card (essential)
• First Aid Certificate (an advantage)
• Experience in commercial mowing/ Open Space work
• Strong commitment to Our “Safety first, always”
• Be physically fit and love working outdoors 
• Ability to build strong professional relationships with team members 
• A Can-do attitude
• Pride in your daily work outcome
